This year my father started an organization called Fugaz, where he began developing a small community in Callao called Castilla through art. As soon as I went there, I fell in love with the place and the kids. I started going to visit the children there very often, and then I realized that I should take initiative and start a club at school. I immediately looked for people to be cabinet members and later on requested permission to start my club to the SBG. After they accepted my proposals the visits began. My CAS project only consisted on started the club, not going on visits, but thanks to effort from both us and the organization itself, we've gone on 3 visits so far. At first, the kids where very shy, they barely spoke to us. But now, everyone is in love with the club. We go and teach them both English and Art. Who knew that a high schooler could make such a change in kids' life? Every time I go there, the kids hug me and thank me for taking this initiative. Their parents also mentioned on how happy the kids are and how many of them plan on being committed to these classes. But more than educational value, bonding with the kids is huge. They all have opened up with us and many of them have given us small gifts, which was very touching especially considering that they come from unprivileged backgrounds. I am so happy that I took this initiative and I plan on continuing this solidly.
