A few weeks ago, I started feeling pain in my back. Every time I bent down, moved, woke up, or did anything my back would hurt. After some time, I told my mom about this and she decided to set up an appointment with a physical therapist. Once I met with the doctor, he told me that I had one hip taller than the other one, and this was causing so many different problems in my back, neck, shoulders, and eventually it would start affecting my brain and the way it functions.
Ever since that appointment, I have started doing intense sessions of physical therapy 3 times a week. Through this therapy, I have been able to acquire new skills and abilities when it comes to my back. I have learned how to control my breathing, bent over properly, and use my core muscles appropriately. I have also become more motivated because of all the exercises I have to do at home every day. I feel that so far I am having a slow but steady recovery and although my back isn't quite perfect yet, I feel it less tense. The doctor also explained that during the process of reducing the ache in my muscles I will also improve my posture, which has affected me through out my whole life. Ever since I was little, I have had a bad posture and clumsy feet. When I was 5 years old I began wearing orthopedic shoes to improve my posture and since then problems have haunted me. Finally, I have started to feel more pain free and little by little I feel improvements in my back.
